In the present paper, we introduce a direct Lyapunov approach to the problem and extend the results to the class of semilinear systems governed by wave and beam equations with boundary measurements from a finite interval. We first design forward observers and derive Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) for the exponential stability of the estimation errors. Further we obtain simple finite-dimensional conditions in terms of LMIs for an upper bound T * on the minimal time, that guarantees the convergence of the sequence of forward and backward observers on [0, T * ] for the initial state recovering. This T * represents also an upper bound on the observability time. For observation times bigger than T * , these LMIs give upper bounds on the convergence rate of the iterative algorithm in the norm defined by the Lyapunov functions. In our approach, T * is found as the minimal dwelling time for the switched exponentially stable (forward and backward estimation error) systems with the different Lyapunov functions (Liberzon, 2003). The efficiency of the results is illustrated by numerical examples.

Stability analysis and feedback control of T-S fuzzy hyperbolic delay model for a class of nonlinear systems with time-varying delay
In this paper, a new T-S fuzzy hyperbolic delay model for a class of nonlinear systems with time-varying delay, is presented to address the problems of stability analysis and feedback control. Fuzzy controller is designed based on the parallel distributed compensation (PDC), and with a new Lyapunov function, delay dependent asymptotic stability conditions of the closed-loop system are derived v...

In this paper, a new quantum hybrid controller for controlling the strongly eigenstate controllable systems, is designed. For this purpose, a Lyapunov control law is implemented when the target state is in reachable set of the initial state. On the other hand, if the target state is not in the reachable set of the given initial state, based on Grover algorithm, a new interface state that the t...

This paper presents a new approach to estimate and to enlarge the domain of attraction for a planar continuous-time piecewise affine system. Various continuous Lyapunov functions have been proposed to estimate and to enlarge the system’s domain of attraction. In the proposed method with a new vision and with the aids of a discontinuous piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function, the domain of attrac...

By definition coordinate transformation matrix for system states and output system, at first the original system divided into two subsystems. the first subsystem includes uncertainties but without any sensor faults and the second subsystem has sensor faults but is free of uncertaintie...
متن کاملSynchronization for Complex Dynamic Networks with State and Coupling Time-Delays
This paper is concerned with the problem of synchronization for complex dynamic networks with state and coupling time-delays. Therefore, larger class and more complicated complex dynamic networks can be considered for the synchronization problem. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, a delay-independent criterion is obtained and formulated in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs)...
